I was surfing some old mapping sites and I found some of my posts with pics of old maps. Funny moments with crazy ideas. And I didn't remember them, but wow! they fit with TF2 theme (deserts etc).

Only for CS 1.6

This map was inspirated by the UT2004 map as_conveyor, which someone has made one for TF2 but it actually doesn't look as the original (layout).

This one was a big project of making race maps for CS, someone has done this idea for CSS (sliderace maps) but they're not the same, mine was more developed. This map consisted in mario kart/crash team racing races, you could take the random item boxes etc, just like crash team racing.

And I've loled a lot about the big change of my mapping skills. And how easy is to make nice things on Source. Displacements are damn easy to make, compare them with Goldsource, lol. This pics was just a year ago, when I started mapping.

I forgot to say, you can also post your old maps here, if you mapped for Goldsource. It's nice to compare the old things with the new ones.

Ah, pre source. I remember when you had to scale UP textures just to increase performance. I never released a final version of a map, but this was my baby, a TFC map where the flag could spawn at 1 of 4 places, and both teams fought each other to cap it (similar to flag run). You need a team, because some areas were difficult, or impossible to access without certain classes (remember the demo pack?).

This was the best part, a 3d representation of the map, and the section with the flag would blink on and off.

heres a cs map i tried to make a few years ago inspired by parts of the original KOTOR. i dont know where it is, im pretty sure its lost forever.

Ah, wonderful thread. Here are some of my TFC works:

Midnight Skirmish, and Nothing, both simple CTF, along with BoojumBowl which was a rather ridiculous map. :p



Atrox Reportare, which was a shutdown CTF map at night in the snow. It even had a flag-tracking overview map in the spawn, because your flag had to be home before you could cap the enemy's. This was my favorite out of my work.
