The lack of seperation is the Number 1 Biggest Problem, I'm sorry but that's just how it is.

Without seperating the points, you just have a big box with points in it and that's awful.

Look at the seperation between the spawn and point in maps like Lumberyard, Offblast, and Ravine, those are arena maps so they should be good sizes.

As a rule, no spawn or point should be able to see another spawn or point.

Please read. I am not talking about size, I am talking about seperation.
Ravine should be proof you can seperate the points with the space you have.

... maybe, but when Valve make that map they have something that i dont have... ideas!

You clearly have ideas, and a knowhow of Hammer, but I think what you don't have is a good understanding of level design theory.

You need to learn about combat areas, transitional areas, and how spawns and points work with them.

Each point should have it's own combat area, and be seperated from both the spawns and each other by transitional areas. You should be able to look at a few maps and identify common features between them outside of the context of their layouts. For example, you should be able to understand what principles you can learn from Standin's design and apply to Ixem on a smaller scale, without just copying the layout.

When you get that down, you'll find it a lot easier to work on maps.

emmmm, so like i said, i dont have ideas... and dont deny it cause is true, this map is a copy of ravine but more empty and flat, have the same size, maybe you are right about the combat areas and that stuff, but its something i cant fix...

BTW, the map really needs the separations?

It's nothing like Ravine, it's wide, open, 2 points, no point seperation. It just happens to be the same size, which is a pretty standard arena size.

It's something you can definitely fix by splitting the map into two distinct areas instead of one open field.

If you learn what those kind of areas are like you can just use them as template to make sure your map doesn't have those problems in future.

Its like reavine, looks the control point b, has the same entrances and back the cp b there is an ammo pack with water, like ravine, and i dont see space in the map to divide it!

Just cuz your map looks similar to another map in some areas doesn't mean it's stealing from that map. You're just taking elements from a map that you know works, and that's perfectly okay! It's an important part of developing as a mapper.

I cant! I tried, and i cant see this map with 2 zones differents! Its imposible, its too big, must be another solution...

You can afford to make ixem a bit bigger, or to just move the points around.

See? This is the problem! Never before existed a 2CP Arena like standin and then i dont have to copy size or stuff, even if i make the map a little big would be too small! but if i do bigger wil be too big, there is no middle point!

GOD, i cant, i tried a lot of time, and i try, i try and i cant divide the map, are the 2AM, im tired and stressed! This map cant get finishied only cause cant be divide!
