!!!UPDATE!!! You can now download this model!!!
http://forums.tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=832

I in the process of creating a new payload object for my map. Something that is a bit more themed for my level.

I extracted the Heavy from the game and rigged him to look like he is strapped down. Currently I am working on the attachments such as the straps and the stretcher. Other items I plan to add it a IV bag near the same location the mine cart dispenses health and more TNT rigged to the stretcher.

Comments or suggestions?

So much blood!

Actually, the wheels are a bit far apart for most payloads, but it looks awesome so far.

what a novel concept! Great idea! is your map based in a hospital? Also, if would be great if you tried to include sasha in there somehow... Oh wow, I'm very impressed.

First thing I thought of was bondage.
Err...
Nice work!

Um I'm a little concerned about this. Either because it could be interpreted as a suicide bomber (bad) or bondage fetisha (also bad but not nearly as bad)
I'd be inclined to say you'll be alright with it but you could end up causeing offence to certain individuals, although the chances that anyone who will be offended by this plays tf2 is small.

Other than the sensetivity issue I'm going to mirror what everyone else is saying and go with the wheels are too wide, the also need a bolt or something in their centre to hold them to the axel.

looking good. although why is that ball in his mouth necessary? makes it look like a gimp.
What is the story behind this? why is there tnt on this tummy? what is blu trying to achieve?

Since he's a RED guy and it's BLU pushing the cart, the suicide bomber interpretation is far-fetched.

The bondage thing is more plausible, but I'm pretty sure it's because of the ball gag (i.e. not the straps). Using a simple piece of cloth as gag, just like the blindfold, would probably alleviate this.

Wow, thanks for all the comments and discussion. Youme, you bring up some good points, but Apom is correct on what I was going for. I wanted the blue team to push the captured Red heavy and push him to the end. For the look of the payload object, I want to go for a funny - off beat look. The ball gag is more or less a bad joke, but I think it works. Example, what happens to the guy at a party that passes out first. He is the guy who gets sharpie mustache and put into compromising possessions for photos.

Forthex, your correct. I am working on a hospital themed level. It seems to be an untapped area of TF2, and I hope to create a good amount of assets that other people can use in there own level. I will be uploading a pack of models so you can create your own hospital themed map. I have another model done, but I didn't post it yet. This way you can get an idea of my art direction for the map and models :blushing:

This model can be solid or dynamic. Not sure how I intend to use it yet because of the physics bug. When the object stops moving, and if you are inside of the mesh, you get stuck... Until you shoot it off you...

I think you could do some other stuff in the "compromising" style without resorting to the ball gag (which I must admit I find disturbing, but of course that's a subjective thing). For instance, write mocking comments over his face and clothes, "pwned lol" and the like (in blue paint obviously). A dismembered Sasha sounds good too, possibly accompanied by a R.I.P. sign.

Or, you could reverse the thing and make i like BLU needs to bring a wounded guy into a surgical room. So he would just be lying still on his bed (no ball gag, dynamite etc.), although the straps are still possible.

That wheelcair looks a tad too realistic to me...

Although the heavy is great :)

The wheel chair looks great :thumbup1:

I'm being overly cautious really personally I'm not bothered by anything you've done but I just see a little bit of potential for it. Like I said before I think you can probably get away with it but it is a little strange.

It never occurred to me that it could be a controversial issue, but then again, I have a twisted sense of humor. :blushing: I am open to suggestion for some sort of way to keep his mouth busy. No talking can occur because this is a model, not a character. So he needs some sort of gag, or duct tape keeping his mouth busy. BTW, You should have seen my first concept, he was face down with a rocked stuck in is butt...

I wanted to thank everyone that has commented on my work. I work in the gaming industry and have been on enough forums to know flame wars are easily started. Everyone has left great feedback that I can go in-turn put back into my model! Respect is so under rated

As for the wheel chair, its hard to show what the model looks like in one image. Yes, it is modeled after a old style wheel chair, but tweaked the proportions and distortion to reflect more of a FT2 look... My best example of this is the picture below:

I think duct tape over his mouth is an excellent idea. Or just a piece of cloth tied around his face. A ball gag doesn't bother me, but I can see how it might bother some.

He could have one of those Joker smiles carved on his mouth. :)
