Mirrored Maps - pl_drawup_b1 - Mirrored maps are back with the Summer 2016 72hr TF2Jam!

Mirrored Upward made just for the Summer 2016 72hr TF2Jam!

This bsp has been compiled with only fast vis. A propper full compile is on its way.

Let me know if you find and bugs or props I haven't rotated properly.

I put that to Robin Walker back when I made the first maps, there was talk of doing it through code rather than actual mirrored maps. I guess it never happened.

I'm seriously thinking of doing a complete series 3..

I've been out of TF2 for a few years now, both playing and mapping.. Is Junction played often enough to warrant mirroring?

I believe both Borneo and Swiftwater are both official community maps as well, no? From the outset of Mirrored Maps I have only ever said I would mirror official Valve maps.

Back when I did series 1 I was nearly had Goldrush mirrored but I had an issue with the cart that I never fixed.. I'd like to finish Goldrush.

I wanted to to a 3 pack of payload maps for series 3. To round it out my only options are Barnblitz and Thunder Mountain.

A few people have asked for Barnblitz to be mirrored but Im not that familiar with it. The mirrored effect would be lost on me so that makes it less interesting to do.

I'm open to taking advice on what are the most popular maps are at the moment and where might be the best value in mirroring.

Oh.Yes they are.
Junction isnt as played, less than hated/hatred Dustbowl.

Goldrush/TM/Barnblitz would be nice tbh.

Is Junction played often enough to warrant mirroring?

The reason I brought up junction is that the layout would completely through people off even if they played it for a few rounds, and it's asymettrical like very other A/D or PL map. It would be easy to mirror, too- no sky, displacements or rocks to worry about. Simple logic, too.

Improvements made for RC1.
  • Resolved issue with the soundscape not loading.
  • Fixed placement of area portal near reds first spawn.
  • Removed redundant nodraw block from blue mid spawn.
  • Corrected the placement of a large number of props across the map.
  • Added mirrored props where required.
  • Corrected issues with corrupted occluders.
  • Restored correct overlay placement for all overlays across the map.
  • Adjusted func_nobuild under the spiral to prevent the sentry exploit.
  • Added custom menu message and photos.
  • Generated and packed a navmesh (bots work great!)
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)
