If someone does intend to make this list, I can provide a near-complete list of steam IDS.
I'd love to do it as I have an account on said wiki, but I fear I might get kicked off the wiki for not making a list properly.

Ok, I've managed to find the template for the steam ID's and the template for the Invasion update medal. I can just copy/paste Steam ID's LeSwordfish into the relevant places.

Just for the record, I'm still up for making the list of medal-owners for the TF2 wiki.

@Hotel Detective Yeah, I may need some help. I gather I need to input Steam ID's in the id list template, but creating the list itself may prove problematic. Basiclally: There's a LOT of templates that need to be made. Am I missing something?

Yeah, the first template you would have to create would be
https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Template:List_of_TF2Maps_72hr_TF2Jam_Summer_Participant_owners

You can use https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/index.php?title=List_of_Community_item_owners&action=edit as a template source
You then need to create a page called https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/List_of_TF2Maps_72hr_TF2Jam_Summer_Participant_owners
Inside that you call upon the template using {{{{List of TF2Maps 72hr TF2Jam Summer Participant owners}}

Then inside https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/TF2Maps_72hr_TF2Jam_Summer_Participant you link to the new list page.

If that doesn't make sense I can just set it up for you and you can edit the list template

Welp, I got a message from a wiki passer-by and got told that setting up a page with over 240 medal owners isn't needed for the wiki. R.I.P our own lil' list of Summer jam medal owners.

the wiki is rly iffy about community stuff, they only add what the admins specifically want added and delete anything else

one time someone replaced a lot of hat images with better quality ones and got banned because it wasnt want the admins wanted

Dang, I wish I could've participated this year. That medal looks amazing. Would it be possible to have it be the same one for next year so I can get another chance at nabbing it?

That's not to say you should only enter because you want a medal. You should enter because you enjoy making things and putting effort into something you are proud of, and maybe you want a bit of a challenge with the time limit, or want to participate with the community in the event.

Yeah, that's absolutely true. I do plan on making/sharing some SFM stuff i'm real proud of once the time comes.

So here's the thing about people joining for just the medal and why it's not that big of a deal.

There are always going to be people who put a half-assed attempt in to earn any participation reward like this. But, of those people, there is going to be a certain percentage who stick around the site because of it. They only joined for the medal, but saw what a cool community we are and how fun an event like this can be, and decided that maybe they'll get involved. Maybe next time they'll whole-ass it and maybe they'll become super active in the community, creating content, participating in other events, helping us test.

This effectively works as advertising for the site. A lot more people heard about the site and the event because of the reward, and that's a great thing.
