Like that, except not a USB mic for a modern-day laptop. :p

Hi poly mesh is done, I'll make the low poly and texture it tonight when I get back home. It's still a little boxy, might tweak that as well.

Quite impressive indeed, but take care with the poly count - you don't want a 16-unit wide model to have 4000 triangles.

That's a high poly mesh to use as reference to bake a normal map on a low-poly mesh ;)

For this prop I'm thinking around 200~300tris, have to see what goes on once I've started the low poly.

Wow that was quick. I think the model looks a little soft and clay like (not very metallic), but of course that's it at a high scale high poly render.

I also think the slightly tilted back style would be better and make it easier to apply- how many bustling (well, in game, rather dead) spytech offices would have their mics perfectly upright? :p

I need it like this to facilitate the baking of the normalmap.

As for the texture, that's the standard grey material from 3DSMax and a scanline render, c'mon you know this.

I'll make it a 2-model prop so you can tilt the mic yourself to your liking :)

I wasn't talking about the texture. I was talking about the shape. :(
