An SFM is absolutely fine. There's no specified way of proving when you made it - just don't start until after the start.

Yes! Anything TF2.
Kind of a general idea - MvM isnt about maps only. Missions are also part of it (and quite large). I know it's not exactly "site theme", but is it possible to make MvM section of maps to be split into missions and maps? As far as i seen, there's already atleast 2 mission submissions which are going up this year. and i'm sure this amount will grow. With such ability, a heck ton more people would be able to use this site and not be forced to *cough* cancerous *cough* Gamebanana
Will this apply to the versions of my map that come out before the deadline too?
Good point - I can't hold the showcase up, but if your map looks promising I can delay the final exhibition game choice until its in.

All you need to do to join is to post a download of your final result before the end of the time, and tag it with 72hr.
A link is fine. Create an "Other Downloads" download to have a download without a file.
