I had a map idea, but I'm not sure if it would work. Also, since I'm working on another map I've got no time to test it out. I figured I'd put it out there for everyone.
Basically, it would be a conversion of the 5CP layout to a payload map, where both teams are attacking and defending. Here's how it would work:
1. Leave the middle CP as it is. There would be a set of tracks on both sides of the track leading to each team's intermediate CP. Whichever team captures the middle would get the cart activated on their side.
2. When the cart is between 2 CP's the attackers must push it to the next CP to immediately cap it. The defenders must stand on the previous CP to revert the capture. When this is done, the cart will quickly speed along the track back to the previous CP.
Would this work with the HUD? There would be 5 CP's plus one section of payload track. If you can't show both would you just show the CP's and leave the Payload HUD off?
Is there a way to make this simpler? Perhaps by allowing both teams to push the cart normally, but in opposite directions? If this can be done, the entire thing could just be 1 cart track with the cart starting in the middle. How would the intermediate CP's work then?
