Yeah...on and off for a few months ive been trying to get this working...namely to host a steam server
I have the correct ports enabled, (27015), ive set my router to accept WAN ping requests, ive got the static ip set up correctly and the ports are directed to that ip.
Ive got my router set up for a virtual server (no idea if that means anything or not).
Ive set the hardware firewall in the router to its weakest range, namely it accepts anything using the specific ports ive opened. Then I also disabled the software firewall on my computer.
These setting worked a few days ago, but they have for some reason stopped working...
In light of that ive tried most combinations of enabling and disabling the settings ive listed above as well as briefly entering dmz mode, all to no avail...so now im stumped...
basically ive been hosting a playthrough of hl2 through synergy with my friends...and now its at a standstill
im sure someone here has an idea what im doing wrong...
im using winxp 32 bit, and a D-Link wireless router in g mode...
