So for a while I was using "Clip" brushes but I'm looking at official maps and they use "Player Clip" and I'm just curious, what differences do they have? Obviously enough to be marked seperate, but what else?

essentially, in other source games bots aren't regarded as players (but they are in tf2). So in the other games clip would clip bots and players, whereas playerclip would only clip players. However in tf2 bots cant walk through playerclip anyways so there is no difference there.

If im right in CSS en CSGO bots are still considered as players. Even in l4d. But in l4d you have even more clip types.

Playerclip blocks players and bots, clip block bots, players and projectiles
Bots are technically players and TECNICALLY can do everything players can do, so this was unnecessary.
So, player clip and clip are indentical in TF2.
No clipping blocks projectiles, by the way.

Interesting, so in TF2 it doesn't matter though. Alright. Good to know!

How about the bosses, do they count as NPCs?

I tested different types of clips with the green Halloween skeletons once and they were treated just like players, so this probably extends to all non-playerbot entities that require a nav mesh.

The textures do nothing. It's all in the materials.
