There are some more props I'm looking for on my map, I have already looked through the game file props for them and haven't found what I'm looking for. I need it to look almost the same since it is based off of another game and I want it to look as authentic as possible. If anyone knows where I could find these or make them for me that would be very appreciated.

P.S. the well is separated into the rock part and the wood roof sort of thing on it

P.S.S. let me know if u want to collab w/ me as well the map is a trade map pkmn_treasuretown

Thanks for your time

A few things, some of which I said on your last thread:

Don't count on finding someone to make props for you unless you offer payment or prove that you are invested in your project. People won't spend time making a model if the person who requested it is just gonna abandon the project. So use placeholders like brushes or similar props in the meantime.

You can make that well and the roof out of brushes. Just make a hollow cylinder out of brushes and texture it with cobblestone or something. For the roof, it should be pretty self-explanatory.

In the future, if you are going to seriously request props, you're gonna need to provide more information. How big are those rocks supposed to be? Give rough dimensions or compare to another model (i.e. half the height of a demoman). Those pictures are tiny and don't give much to go on, especially since you seem to want your map to be "authentic".

Blender is the freeiest, but you can nab a student version of 3DSMax as well.

The main thing about both programs comes down to preference for which one you'll like better, but 3DSMax has Wallworm and some other things that you can use to bring Hammer brushes and such into it and edit them, keeping the dimensions of the brushes.

As a former user of both, I'd say just don't make a chair with 6 million faces then give up. :/

You could probably learn a lot more by making the props out of brushwork, and it would run better and the lack of custom models would reduce file size

The rock should be easy to make as well. Just make a cube and select select it > texture tool > create displacement > subdivide with all 6 displacement sides selected to create a sphere. Then just edit some bumps into it. You might still want a custom texture but thats easier than creating and compiling a model
