After the clusterfuck that was my map on the latest gameday - I am in dire need of packing my map.
I seem to remember someone posting a comment in a thread a while back about a console command that allowed you to view maps without any of your installed custom content (ie: you can see the what brush textures have missing textures). Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
*I guess that if no one has any ideas I can just use the auto-scan/pack function thing

sv_pure 2 is what you'd want. It restricts content to that only found in the game's stock files and what's packed in the bsp.

You wanna use VIDE for auto-packing your stuff, and keep all of your stuff out of the tf/custom folder, as weird as it sounds. VIDE sometimes doesn't wanna search in that folder so it'll miss anything you have in there. Even then, it's not always working properly, so thoroughly check in TF2 if everything's there, and then manually pack anything that's not.

Or use CompilePal and have it pack all custom content while compiling your map. It's pretty great, and i haven't used anything else since i first found out about it. It also gives you a responsive window while compiling, shows you compile errors after the compile and gives you the option to cancel your compile without using the task manager.
Pretty much the only drawback is that you have to start a program to compile rather than using the Hammer in-app option.
