Would this be Possible?

I was wondering, If its possible, to have lets say a Room or a Stage, That when you hit a Switch or A button of somekind, The Floor goes down, And gets moved into a out of bounds place, and a New floor moves from another out of bounds area to replace it, I have a interesting Idea for a map, And I was wondering if this COncept would work.
