+Age of Chivalry
+DIPRIP Warmup
+Insurgancy: Modern Infantry Combat
+Synergy
+Zombie Panic! Source

Does anyone intend to check these out, and if so, which ones and why?

I want to check out Synergy because i was a big fan of Svencoop. I'm not sure how well they've converted the single player to coop play (including more weapons and vehicles for all the players) but i'm sure of all things this would have been the most significant to address, so i'm sort of expecting big things in this respect. However, other than the maps already created by Valve, their own leave a lot to be desired. Unfortunate, for a game with so much potential.

DIPRIP just looks mad, i'm checking the site out now; it just looks mental. I'll probably have to play it too. My first impression was that it looked a lot like Tank Wars (where you pitted your tank against others), which was fun in a shallow sort of way.

Zombie Panic. I was part of a zombie mod as a level designer (HoldOut) Before it eventually packed in. Pretty much every alpha got leaked, not to mention a heck of a lot of spam on the forums by immature members and eventually the majority of the team gave up to concentrate on uni after the forums got hacked the 5th time in a year. A right shame because it had a lot going for it. They donated all their material to Zombie Panic and a lot of the more serious members moved over there (I did at first but Uni took over my life as well so i havn't been active over there in well over a year). So i'm kinda checking this out for nostalgia reasons, to see material i watched develop, in use (The animaters on the HoldOut team were f'ing amazing, i'm sure ZP were very happy at the sudden influx of amazing models not to mention several maps).

Weird, Insurgency looked the best one in my opinion, cos I know they have a skilled team.

Insurgency looked pretty good, i played it around a friends and player movement seemed buggy. The prone system in place was a joke compared to DoD. Kept getting stuck on the most simple of geometry too.

I expect it's been improved by now, though.

I wasn't interested in any of these before they announced them, and I'm stillnot interested in them, infact less so now than before. I really don't appreciate valve spamming up my games list with 5 new mods and two extra copies of each, before my games list had only the games I'd bought in, now its got a load of crap I never even wanted in the first place.

I just keep the games I am currently playing in my favorites. I'm just pissed that it won't take Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition. Hmph! :glare:

I tried DIPRIP, but Source vehicles suck, and it seems like half the people playing it were on ghetto-rigged ancient dial-up in Thailand. (LAG LAG LAG)

Synergy is fun with friends, I'm not interested in joining a random game of HL2.
