Hi map testers, so as you may have seen cp_alloy was put in the ETF2L Map Test Cup. Now this is alright, except in most peoples opinions it should have been balanced more before thrown into competitive, but there is no way to do that outside of your pub testing, but then this map which has been solely balanced on pubs is now being played in a real competitive format and problems arise.
I went to Chandos and brainstormed the idea with him, and we're interested in solving this problem, there's already a mix group that a community called Team Colonslash organise: a highlander mix/pug of comp players (18 players mixed up into teams of 9), what we're going to try start is a semi regular thing where we get the more motivated and knowledgeable players to tests alpha/beta maps and give constructive feedback to the creator. If the map seems promising we can scrim the map with actual teams of varying levels to get the most feedback possible.
Note, this will be a semi regular thing - once a week at most maybe. Me and Chandos would look at maps ourselves to see what has the most promise to then test. Feel free to use this as a suggestion thread for any ideas you might have. Contact me http://steamcommunity.com/id/popkern or http://steamcommunity.com/id/chandos/ (leader of TC Mixes)
What we'll use: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tcmixes
Thanks for reading, hope most of you like the idea
