I have no idea what's causing this. I have a small autoexec file with some stuff in it, but this happens whether it's active or not.

My autoexec, if you're still interested.
hud_combattext_batching 1
hud_combattext_batching_window 1
viewmodel_fov 70
fps_max 61
fov_desired 90
cl_burninggibs 1
snd_mixahead 0.05
cl_updaterate 66
cl_cmdrate 66
rate 6000
cl_interp_ratio 2
bind i explode
cl_interp 0.015
tf_contract_progress_show 0
bind "mwheelup" "say ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"
bind "mwheeldown" "say Random crits are totally fair and balanced. There's nothing wrong with them. At all."

Whenever I connect to the EU TF2maps.net server, as soon as the welcome page shows up my fps drops from 60 to about 3-5, and then refuses to ever go up. Not just on the TF2maps server, but on every server I connect to onwards. I have to quit TF2 and then restart in order for it to run at 60 fps again.

The TF2maps.net servers are the only servers that do this. I can connect to Valve servers or any other community server just fine, without a single issue. But as soon as I connect to the EU server it's game over, literary. I have no idea what's causing this, and it's quite frustrating since it also means I can never playtest anything. I also have no idea when it started to behave this way. I know it's been doing this for a very long time, like more than 8 months or something like that.

What I also don't understand is how a single sever is a: causing fps to drop to unplayable levels, and then b: causing the entire game to stay at unplayable levels even after I disconnect from the TF2maps servers and then join some completely different server.

If you need more info (like net_graph pictures or something) pm me (or simply reply), and I'll give you them. Last time I checked though it didn't show anything abnormal.

@Geit any idea what's causing this?

That solved it, thanks.
