So the steam notification for an impromptu test popped up, and I decided to join. However, then a window appeared saying "You will now install Tf2, blah blah blah"
Curiously, TF2 uninstalled itself, somehow. Yet all the files were on my computer still. I even booted up hammer and upon compile, it started TF2 just fine, letting me access everything. So what the hell happened?
I'm thinking I could get a faster response from here than steam support (and the Steam Discussions are a joke) so I need help

and yes, I tried restarting comp, steam, etc. No luck. I dont want to reinstall because my download speed sucks and it will take ages
