A few weeks ago I tried to add a static prop to my map, but the model browser was empty. No mod filter, no 3D preview window, nothing. Since that day, I haven't been able to add props to my maps. Here's a screenshot from today:

Apparently this bug only affects TF2, since all other Source games's model browsers seem to be ok.

Does anyone know how to solve this bug? Thanks.

I think the problem is within five either sdk or tf2 try checking intergrity of the cache for each respectively

Definitely always verify the cache if you experience a bug that wasn't there before the last update. I've found that if the game starts updating while Hammer is open (which is something it only recently started doing; it used to sit on "update queued" until you quit), it will cause a breakdown of reality that has to be fixed with an integrity check and redownloading a file or two.

to add to this: bugs may include: missing textures, missing libraries, broken logic, broken compiles, hammer not loading or saving, and last but most definetly least, the bug where hammer misplaces your save files

Checked integrity of cache for both SDK and TF2, still got the bug. Any thoughts?

This seems familiar *remembers sdk bug*. I want you to check your model viewer for tf2 through base sdk

Try Team Fortress 2/bin/set_sdk_env.bat.

Is your material browser working okay?
Are you able to place all the point entities you need, including TF2 entities (prefixed with tf)?

Opened .bat file, bug's still there.

Material browser and tf_ entities are both working correctly.

I've been looking around on the web for possible solutions.

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2798673

You could try turning the VGUI model browser off and then on in the Hammer settings, restarting Hammer between each.

You could try finding all occurrences of GameConfig.txt and Gameinfo.txt in Team Fortress 2/bin, /tf and /h2 and deleting them, then verifying game cache in Steam.

Only other thing I can think to suggest is to delete Team Fortress 2/bin and verify the game cache. It's about 260MB.

Sorry I can't think of anything more to suggest.
