I know Halloween is over for this year but it's never too early to start working on stuff for next year! This year's TF2 comic had a interesting lil no named character that was a talking pumpkin. I've got an idea on how to use such a character in a map but none of the current pumpkin props look enough like the character to make me happy. Below is a picture of him:

What I'm specifically looking for is a pumpkin with eyes and a green inside glow, thing.

Sure wish Valve had kept up their habit of releasing their internal assets for use in Source Filmmaker. Hell, they released the Meet the Sniper props as a standalone download years before Source Filmmaker was even available to the public.

The sneering soul gargoyle has it under its paw. You could try use the gargoyles model as a base.

The pumpkin used in that is pretty much perfect! The AO bake doesn't include other models and the texture has an ok resolution. It's also about 450 tris.

Now there is one problem left: How big is he supposed to be? He is about 16 units wide, which is just tiny.

16u is 1 foot so that's really about right, I guess. But yeah a 50% or 100% scale up would probably be good.

The eyes are creepily staring in one direction, wish that could be alterable in SFM but I highly doubt that as its most likely just the texture.
Moveable eyes are only possible with the EyeRefract or Eye shader. This is a simple VertexLitGeneric.

You could edit the eye textures to get it to have few bodygroups for its eyes.

Edit. You could even make it a higher resolution texture.
