It's that time of the year again! It's only 58 days left until Christmas! And we still have 2 major holidays left! Yaaaay!

But, there is no rest for the busy content creators of the TF2 community. Right off the heels of the Workshop of Horrors, comes the complete *polar* opposite, Workshop Wonderland!

Grab you scarves and wool sweaters, curl up next to the fire with your computur and crack open hammer to create some Winter themed maps!

I wanted to not bumble this up like I did with Workshop of Horrors and not properly tell all of you about this opportunity. I hope that, if you're not working on a map, maybe you'll consider making a small one, or detailing a new one. If you have any questions, you can email Void (Aeon Bollig) via the email in the forum post, OR you can contact me here on the forums, in group chat, via carrier pidgeon, whatever.

This is meant to be a fun thing, so have fun with it!

Deadline for Workshop submission is December 18th*. Reskinned or previously submitted maps are accepted, as long as they follow the other submission requirements. Please see facepunch post for more details.

I would try, but I don't think I can make a map in 50 days;

I prefer a leisurely mapping experience, listening to a little music, working slowly for an hour a day.

so I was thinking, instead of filling the workshop with quickly made reskins, why not this time, have people put their time in a collaborative project to build something larger. Speaking with chat, one of the best idea that came out was making a festive sd version of sawmill. If people are interested in trying something new and want to dip their toes in a collaboration, well you're in luck, because I have come up with a great workflow for building maps as a team and I have no doubt that it can be a great learning experience for everyone involved. Part of the goal is to set a new standard for project management as far as tf2mapping goes, borrowing methodologies from large studios and other software development companies.

I wasn't planning to write this much but if you're interested, know that there is no commitment required, everyone is free to contribute as much as they want/can. we're just trying to have fun and hopefully we can build bigger and better. That's all there is to it. I figured, hey people are probably busy with the cp contest but there's no reasons they shouldn't be part of the action.

As we speak, I am splitting up the map into bits so we can split the workload better. I'll be having a thread for this later but definetly contact me if you're interested

Hmm, so I can stamp both mvm_isolation and pl_snowycoast with the Workshop Wonderland icon, and that's a legit thing to do despite them both being in the workshop for awhile now?
