EDIT

Like usual... I find the problem right after I post the thread.

I thought I had the cordon around the whole map, but I just realized that the 3d skybox was outside the bounds. I think when I created a new visgroup, an old one was automatically removed... and things were visible in the 3d skybox when they shouldn't have been.

I don't see a way to remove threads... so any mods...

So... no cordon tool... compile the map in hammer... and the map crashes when I try to load it in-game. I tried using the cordon tool to locate the problem, but after trying several different areas, no luck.

Then, I put a cordon around the entire map. Guess what? The map loads in-game.

FYI, the non-cordon compile gave a "0x0000blah memory referenced 0x0000blah" error and crashed.

Does the cordon tool change the way the map is compiled? If anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated.
