that is actually what i feared, that mid is too flat and elongated, but will try something else before plain shrinking it down, because i already have the feeling that the map is rather small. also i thought the train carts would see more use, but i guess especially the rockets are too awkard for high ground.
i already toyed with the idea of putting a building somewhere on the bridge, though i think it would be better on the other side (where the death pit is), to make the longer route more attractive with cover, but ill definitely try something.
also, i thought the balconies would be much more problematic with snipers, but even though there were alot of snipers at times, it didnt seem too bad during the playtest.
and regarding aesthetics, i didnt put much effort in considering a1, but i can try better for the next version.
