Don't worry about it, this looks like a typical first alpha to me. Many mappers like to use dev textures in alpha, but there's nothing wrong with using "real" textures like this, or adding a little detail here and there to set the theme. Just be sure not to go too far with detailing before you finalize the layout or you'll be making it harder on yourself to move things around.
