Theory: Could all Valve games take place on the same timeline?

While this may be a stretch, I decided to make a timeline to describe what I mean. I feel many people completely miss the point of this Thread. In that case, READ THE GODDAMN ARTICLE OR BE TERMINATED YOU FOOL.

TIMELINE in which games are in order (And other important elements).

-Ancient Past: Dota 2 takes place, has nothing to so with the storyline but I decided that this would be a good place.

-1800's to 1880: Mann Co buys worthless plots of desert around New Mexico which contains large amounts of gravel. As a result, the 2 people (Blu and Red) who thought of this wage a war against each other, by recruiting soldiers / mercenaries for each team. 9 members hired by BLU are the only evidence of this 1st Gravel Wars.

-1930's - 40: Team Fortress Classic: The 2nd Gravel wars take place, with BLU winning. The remaining RED fighters were killed or either fled into hiding. The weapons in this war are high tech because of Australia's scientific intellect, which kept it hidden from most of the world, and out of many of the future wars the world would face.

-1940 - 45: WW2 starts, Soldier "fights" in the war as a unregistered soldier, Day of Defeat takes place. Heavy's family is placed into a gulag by the NKVD.

-1960 - 1970: TF2 takes place, the 3rd Gravel wars take place. Several bases are established on Earth and Space. The RED team and BLU team and many other Mercenaries in their place are Hired by the Administrator, Helen. The Mercs in the comics are 9 mercenaries that were first hired.

-1970: Mann vs Machine Begins, Remaining BLU mercs are recruited into RED, and many are killed in a effort to stop the robots. Eventually, Gray is killed and they stop a world domination scheme in the process. The remaining robots are destroyed or take up new lives (somehow).

-1980's - 1990: Mann Co becomes bankrupt. RED and BLU turn into Black Mesa and Aperture Science.

*BLU mercenaries under RED leave and reform BLU, who are led under a "Soldier" classed mercenary named Cave Johnson. Cave exaggerates Aperture's position as a original shower curtain salesman, and RED is led by the original RED engie, Dell. Dell goes on to find more Australium to help humanity. They create a portal machine that creates entrances to a border world named Xen, which has large numbers of Crystalized Australium. Aperture does the same by making a ship with the same feature named the Borealis, but it disappears.

-1990 - 2000: Counter Strike takes place: Terrorist insurgents spring up all over the world due to the rarity of Austrailium. As a result, nobody payed Attention to the Black Mesa Incident.

1999 - 2003: Half Life 1 / Black Mesa takes place. VOX is used as the PA system. Resonance Cascade occurs, starting the downfall of humanity. Gordon Freeman successfully destroys the Nihilanth. The Seven Hour War takes place, Effectively killing most of Humanity. Portal 1 also takes place in this time period. Opposing Force and Blue Shift also take place. Adrian Shepard is put in stasis for a unknown period by the G-Man.

During the Black Mesa Incident: A flu infects a majority of the population and L4D takes place (Correct me If I am wrong).

2020 - 2028: Half Life 2, Ep 1 , and Ep 2 take place. In Hl2, Gordon Freeman kills Dr Breen. Under Eli Vances dying words, Freeman is told to destroy the Borealis. At this time, all access to Combine Portals are destroyed.

2028 - 2040: Half Life 3???

2052: Humans are able to start up their first space colony via Combine technology / abandoned space facilities left by Mann Co. Alien Swarm takes place.

2040 - 20,000 years later: Portal 2 takes Place. Chell steps out of Aperture Science for the first time, and stumbles upon a wheat field. Presumably the Combine have left earth / is extinct.

-Future: Ricochet takes place, in the far future with humans or Vortigaunts or something. Wheatley is STILL IN SPACE.

Correct me if I missed anything.

What about dota 2 or counterstrike?

Anyways my little pet theory is that all that the tf2 universe is parallel to the portal one (see the perpetual testing initiative video), where the tf2 universe is the only universe where aperture science never got a start, and (due to the administrator's meddling) red/blu/grey/mannco is there instead.

Thats also whats in the ctf briefcase btw ... portal puzzle chamber schematics.

The administrator didn't want the rest of the world getting ahold of the knowledge of other universes (for reasons). So she put them in the safest possible place. A box being constantly fought over by 2 teams of homicidal lunatics.

I like to imagine that Left 4 Dead takes place in the near future of the Counter-Strike universe, because it can't possibly take place before, during, or after the Xen invasion (no, they're not headcrab zombies, just regular type) and Global Offensive straight-up recycles some of Left 4 Dead 2's maps. Day of Defeat could slot in with either of the photorealistic universes.

Fixed that, Counterstrike is now on the timeline. Not too sure about DOTA. I'm pretty sure that the Briefcase contains Punch Cards / Floppy Disks that were analogous with the 60's.

Maybe L4D is the story of a Virus that escaped from the Black Mesa Compound? The Virus infected people the same way the Xen creatures do. Also, Art style could simply be the way Valve is telling us the story. Maybe it can be anything?

How can Aperture Science and Black Mesa be succeeders to RED and BLU if both companies existed in the 1950s?

Also, Soldier never actually fought in World War 2.

How can you get a aperture science item (appsap) before aperture science made science?

EDIT. You forgot Alien swarm

EDIT 2. Didn't the combine attack happen at the same time as glados took over aperture. I think it was the reason that nobody realized what happened at apperture science.

L4D is basically canon with Payday now that the Mercy Hospital level in Payday explains that it was ground zero for the Green Flu virus.

Bear in mind that we're talking about a universe in which Abraham Lincoln invented rocket jumping, Tom Jones was murdered in his mid-20s and New Zealand is a Rapture-esque city at the bottom of the ocean.

In my mind the Half-Life, Portal and Counter-Strike series take place in one singular universe, but Team Fortress exists in an entirely separate one.

Also, Soldier never actually fought in World War 2.

Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected by every branch of the military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949.

The Portal 1 and HL1 timelines were never conclusively linked, but I think many people take Glados's line "even I don't know what's going on out there" to be a reference to the Combine.

Portal 1 references Black Mesa in a slideshow, and I believe Eli mentions Aperture in Episode 2. The Borealis also makes an appearance in both EP2 and Portal 2 (to be more accurate, it makes a disappearance). They're definitely linked, though how exactly the timelines match up I'm not sure.

So what you'r saying is that TF2 only exists as a comic
