Whenever I search "tf_logic_arena" into the find entities tool and press enter, nothing happens

I presume you mean you're in Hammer and you're trying to create a new point entity using Shift+E, then searching for that entity in the resulting properties window.
Can you see any other tf entities in the list? If not, then it seems your Hammer isn't using the tf.fgd file in steamapps/common/team fortress 2/bin. You'll need to go in to the options and add it to the list of game data files. Are you using the copy of Hammer that came with TF2? Or some other version?
