Who has Windows 10 already?

Just asking because I want to know if everything runs fine (TF2, Hammer, SFM, Steam, etc) before I go ahead and install Windows 10. I'm currently on Windows 7 and have been looking forward to going to 10, but not before I'm 100% certain everything works.

Everything I've used seems fine thus far, including TF2 and Hammer.

Been using it for months. Ran into a build that nuked my network driver so I'm sitting on a build from early June.
Not gunna upgrade for a while, this one works so I'm staying here as long as I can cope with it.

Overall though I like it.

The rollout is set to start the distribution at midnight across each timezone on the 29th.

Oh hey! It's giving me the option to upgrade now. Just going to do a backup, then I'll upgrade! :D

Apparently it breaks your computer if you have an NVIDIA graphics card or something. I don't know. Someone Google it for me because I'm on vacation.

I think I'm going to avoid installing it for a while in the hopes that they get rid of mandatory updates. I don't think they will, but.

I'm running a preview build at the moment on an Nvidea card (but I'm using Apple Bootcamp drivers) and it's all good for me.

What GPU are you on? I'm also Bootcamping Windows, currently on a GT750M.

I just updated to Windows 10, and my computer has the Nvidia 860m. I'm not experiencing any problems right now, but I haven't opened a game yet, only Hammer. I'll update this post when I've played something.

Also oooh, the windows look different!

Edit: TF2 works for me

Aah, the good old 2004-style menus with the modern Windows 10 borders.

Sure am glad Microsoft never provided a method of drawing UI elements that doesn't hard-code the visual theme, boy howdy. (Unless you want to deal with .NET dependencies, at least.)

I've heard that you can only run the most current drivers on the system - so you may be screwed if an old graphics driver works better than the most recent and you can't roll back or something like that

Upgraded a few days ago. Had zero issues. I turned off the automatic updates (which is harder than necessary, but not difficult for anyone half-competent) and the data tracking (which is just usage data anyway).

No driver issues, no crashes, no bluescreens, hammer, tf2 and everything else seems to work fine, if not better (hammer seems to launch much faster).

Oh, you can turn off auto updates after all? Cool.

You can, but you need to edit a entry in the group policy editor, I just set it to nofity before download and install (which shows up in the new fancy notification center).

The home version doesn't have the group policy editor, but apparently Microsoft is working on releasing a tool to change it on the home edition, so maybe in the first major patch we'll see it return as an actual easy option, who knows why it wasn't in the first place.

I found with the insider preview (which has different rules for updates) needed me to disable the autoupdate service. It still tells me I need to update every now and then and gives me a chance to postpone it, but it just says there was an error downloading it. :D

My computer automatically downloaded all of Windows 10 as part of Windows Update, but then it didn't do anything with it. The only reason I know it was downloaded at all was that Windows Update took about 6 hours the other day and I had reserved a copy.
