I'm talking about these two ones:

I think they need some updating. The left one even still uses the old icon! I also had an idea on how to make it a lot better. This is pretty much as far as I can go graphics-wise:

I (a staff) had an update nearly ready for it, but I can't find it on my computer anymore, the hunt continues.

Also Freyja (a staff) did say something about mocking up a new front page at some point too.

It would be nice if the server addresses could be copied to clipboard so we could add them to our favourites (without the other gubbins surrounding it).

If these images are updated, I wouldn't like to see that dramatic of a change in the level of simplicity. High contrast should help draw a page viewer's attention from the middle to the side of the page, especially if the images in question use easily-recognizable symbols, such as the Steam logo.

For some reason, this situation brings to mind the design philosophy that Google seems to implement- small UI changes frequently that, while only being minor, seem to 'freshen up' the experience. All my fellow Chrome users will notice that a New Tab page will now have Visited Website elements that fade in, as well as updated loading wheels. These kind of changes on TF2Maps could spruce things up. However, changes require people and hours of work, and I can't really see something similar reasonably happening.

Did I just make a Google analogy and recommend site UI changes follow that format? Gosh, I am demanding.

While we're talking, can we get a different page for the server than the tf2maps frontpage?
I've been thinking maybe something that feels more like a typical MOTD, gives a basic description of what we are, and maybe includes instructions on how to use the feedback plugin would be nice.
