hammer wont load maps

So, TF2 wouldn't load after the newest patch. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked. Hammer somehow dissappeared completly. I found it and launched it, but none of my maps load correctly.

I downloaded a pack that had a bunch of TF2 props and files, could that be the issue? that it deleted itself?

I'm pretty sure it is a resource pack for TF2, very popular and reccomended by professionals. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, can you link it? I can't remember what it's called.

I found the pack, reinstalled, and it worked fine. I also did that, I don't know what did the trick.
