Good day, as you can likely tell i'm new to mapping and i'm currently practicing making simple maps in Hammer. Currently i'm looking for this window texture as I can't seemingly find it anywhere i've looked.

(The Texture im looking for is the window/glass with the black lines that has rhombuses)

Adding you can type "mat_crosshair" in console to get the name of the material you're looking at

In Hammer's texture browser it looks like a grid of squares, because the raw texture is a grid of squares; there's a material parameter that tells the engine (and the 3D viewport... usually) to rotate it 45 degrees.

Easy to find it mate :)

open the materials window > type in glass > limit game options to TF2.

Speaking of glass, does one of the existing TF2 glass textures provide less reflection of cubemaps?

When I build cubemaps, I notice the reflections on glass are so strong that the glass may as well be opaque... which of course defeats the purpose of some out-of-bounds areas.

I made a quick custom vmf to address the issue (low $envmapsaturation, $envmaptint, and $envmapcontrast, as well as a small 64x64 $envmapmask), but I was hoping there's an existing glass texture that already does that. Just haven't found it if so.

make them a brush and lower the opacity
