King of the Hill Live Action Role Playing?

Isn't it a bit of a mouthful?

For future reference, you only need to include the .bsp file in your downloads. Also, be sure to include version numbers in the filename (e.g. koth_larp_a1).

Anyway, first impressions: dark as ass. As you can see, I'm also getting some serious framerate hits. (In retrospect I'm wondering if it's because of the sheer amount of high-poly tree props you're using.)

The area around the control point is very flat and open. Won't be much fun to fight in, I'd wager.

This is a little confusing: what are modern-day vehicles doing in a medieval city in a Medieval Mode map? Although I guess you could say the same thing about the computer terminals in DeGroot Keep, though that was less of a narrative thing and more just a visual gag.

Finally, minor niggle, but reaching these health kits may prove to be a little annoying. Also notice some of the upstairs props clipping through the ceiling a little.

I will say though, spells in Medieval Mode are an interesting idea. I wanna see that in action.

Note the title of the map. LARP is an acronym for "Live Action Role Play"

will keep the number of the map's state in mind in the future.

BUT as i said its in early alpha. i will see about removing all those trees, hopefully that will alleviate some of the frame rate issues.

as for the parking lot, there is sorta a story to that. after exploring degroot with some of my friends we noticed some of the computer monitors, and such hidden around the map. that, and LARPing (live action role playing) inspired me to make the map a sorta renaissance fair theme, with cardboard cutout houses, and a parking lot with ticket booths. basically saying all the mercs are here to dick around and play some live action DND

the clipping props will be taken care of in the future, they are sorta just placeholders for now (specifically the heavy bodies in the tavern, and inn)

i will also light up the map some more, and work on making the terrain less flat, i forgot to add noise to the capture point before i saved and uploaded it.

AS for the health kits, i was aiming to make them scarce ad few between, because in medieval mode small health kits are dropped on kills

its exactly what it soundslike a bunch of people dress up as their characters, then play live action DND
"I CAST FIRE BALL"
"NUH UH I HAD HOLY SHIELD OF LIGHT UP"
