Just recently found this place while refreshing my knowledge of hammer (through Crash's youtube). I'm amazed at all the information here and how helpful people seem to be.
I've been mapping since Half-life and Thief 2. Only released one map in all the time for The Dark Mod. I'm hoping to finish a TF2 map in the near future.
I've already hopped on to the test server and learned a lot just listening to everyone talking about issues in other maps. You've got a great community here.
