I'm Crimsonseven, a teenager with a lot of free time. I got into PC gaming a few years ago mostly because I wanted to move from TF2 on the 360 to the Steam version (because hats) and I wanted to use all the creation tools for my favorite Source games. I built myself a great computer and the rest was history.

I've mapped a decent amount, but only some tiny or half-finished Half-life 2 and CS:GO levels and the occasional experiment to see how nice I can get an area to look despite it not playing very well.

Now I'm making an actual tf2 map, ctf to start with, and I've been looking for ways to get to playtesting it beyond my sessions with a few friends. I suppose I'll post about that and the map when I get familiar with the website. Thanks for reading!

Hi, how's it going! If you're looking for ways to playtest your map, TF2Maps hosts scheduled Gamedays that you can submit your map to for testing and feedback, and there are also unscheduled impromptu tests now and then.

You played TF2 on the Xbox? I completely forgot there was an Xbox version until now.

Thanks for the info!

And yeah, I'd say a positive of the Xbox version is how small and strangely pure it is. There's only 6 maps (although people basically just play 2fort and Dustbowl) and if you play often enough you see regulars pretty frequently. There are no hats, no weapons (read: no minisentries), no custom content, and there remain a bunch of old bugs and exploits that got patched forever ago on PC. It was all in all a pretty strange, pleasant, and niche corner of gaming. I haven't played it in several years, but I'm sure it's the same.

And Crash, besides the whole "I'm making a map and this website is a good place to know since I'm doing it" thing, I was watching one of your mapping contests which reminded me of this place to go register.

Crash's tutorials seem to be bringing people here, which is always nice. CTF is a great mode to start with, if you get anything you feel like showing go post it over in the Work In Progress (WIP) thread.

Welcome to the forum.
