I just tried decompiling my map using BSPSource and when I opened it on hammer there were no props, I toggled the visgroups on and off a couple of times and still, no props.
I tried VMEX too, but same luck with that.
Any advice please?

Decompiling a map can sometimes result in an incomplete .vmf. The part that's usually missing is, you guessed it, props. Try using a different decompiler and see if that works.

Anyway, why do you decompile your own map anyway? Unless you don't have your own .vmf of course,

I lost my vmf because I formatted my Hard Drive.
I tried using VMEX and BSPSource but no luck.
Gonna try to use another compiler to see if it works.

Can't get my hands on any other compilers... I tried decompiling some other maps (valve maps) and they also decompiled with no props. Am I doing something wrong?

Did it ask if you want to remove invalid solids when you tried opening it? Because that removes all the props. Because reasons.

bspsource is the only decompiler that actually works properly
if it doesn't work, then either the map is currently undecompilable, you set it up wrong, or you're using an old version
