So.... The first TF2 map of mine that has gotten anywhere. As obvious from the name, and certain elements of the layout, my inspiration was the one and only cs_assault, one of my favourite CS maps back in the 1.6 days- naturally, heavily expanded and modified to fit Team Fortress 2's gameplay.

2-point single-stage CP in the vein of Gorge, designed for quick and intense matches.

Almost anything is a potential subject of change based on the results of playtests

Damnit, the 'cover photo' showing the map's best looking location doesn't want to show up. What am I doing wrong?

As for the sightlines, I've also been quite worried, which is why that pile of crates and pickup truck is put where it is on picture #2, as well as other props scattered here and there, wherever they can break it up best- as well as a secondary route that will hopefully let BLU get in the back of RED snipers sitting in the best spots.

I've always felt that CS Assault didn't really fit the game too much, with it's vertical gameplay and such, and that it would be awesome in tf2.

I felt similarly. It operates with way bigger and more open areas than any other CS maps.

Well, you could always put in some shipping containers - a map can never have enough of those in it! :p

To note, during the playtest, apparently capping the first point did not add to the timer, despite the output being present, no timer cap, and it having worked when I tested the map alone. DId this happen to anyone else before?

nice map from the game day tests - has lot's of promise it the first can be flanked differently :)

Okay, the extra time on capture of the first point is definitely broken.

Is the output broken? I can't see what could be wrong with it.

Werll, changing AddTeamTime to simply AddTime seems to have fixed it. Why, though, I have no idea.

Also, so far I've added another route to the first point, and a requested route from the elevated bridge to the RED roof and vice versa. Forward Spawn will be next.
