An interesting idea was yesterday presented to me.
Using you tablet/phone to use hammer remotely.
This would be possible with game streaming programs like online and allow anyone with fast enough internet to use your tablet/phone to use hammer.
But would this actually be useful?
I don't really know.

Considering the amount of controls hammer has i dont it would be a good idea. Imagine the drawing part, even with a pointer instead of your finger the accuracy part will be a pain.

At most sketching your map on a tablet works, and a tool for that might realy assist you. But to use hammer itself is something i wouldnt recommend unless you want to have a chalenge for a 72h contest that is similar to the 'make a map in notepad' contest.

Using iPad and stylus pen would eliminate few problems.
And some modifications to hammer could make the complex parts easier.

I would be VERY happy if VRAD had an option to calculate lighting on the GPU via CUDA or something. It would be so awesome.

Oh well. Let's see what glNext will bring us. Valve will be presenting it on GDC this year, with tech demos.
