The attempt to convert my brush-based one in XSI was a pretty spectacular failure. Any help on this would have my deepest gratitude, as the map just wouldn't be the same using rope. Each link/loop is 16 units wide and tall, about 28 long. Hopefully the pics will help.

I would also like these chains if anyone is doing them along with some help on how exactly to make ropes/chains attach to an object and move with it. (such as dropping a brush down from the ceiling. Or giving the appearance of that)

I got that, but how can I make it follow a brush and move with it, to make it look like a platform is being held up by those chains(the move_rope entity).

Parent it? I've heard there's a bug with it. I should make env_spark, parented to func_physbox, and parent move_rope to env_spark. But try to parent move_rope to func_physbox directly. If that won't work, try workaround.
