Do I need as many Karts on the map as players?

Making a Kart Racing map, and I'm wondering if I need as many kart props on the map as players, or just one Kart per Team?

I recall seeing stray Karts about in Mann Mountain (some sort of visual glitch, but still), so that's why I ask.

Nope, just two prop_physics, one for each team.

What the props are there for is to force the client to load the models so that it can use them later. Source is stingy about using stuff that wasn't loaded at map load time.
