I'm looking to get a new laptop this holiday season, and I've got my eyes on one in particular: the ASUS ROG GL551JM-DH71 . Here's a link to the Amazon page, and here's some specs:

I'm really looking for the perfect combination of performance and cost-effectiveness (I honestly don't think I can find a much better laptop for just over $1000, for my needs). I'm not looking into purchasing a desktop, as I really do need the portability a laptop provides.
So, here's where you come in. There's probably not too much to say, but it would be very appreciated if you could just weigh in with any thoughts or comments down below. Just don't expect me to (or to be able to) change my mind about this!

- Generally good gaming (nothing too special, but better than the lag-on-low I'm at now)
- High enough RAM and power for speedy 3D rendering in Blender
- Of course, any specs that can improve my mapping! Because its all about what computer you have, right?
