A task of extraordinary difficulty

For a secret project that I am working on currently, I want to have a version of the prop MvM carrier in my map, but made in hammer. I have currently got the 1:1 scaled version of the carrier, and am currently building over the carrier until I am happy with the shape.

Is there any easier way to do this, as it seems like soon I may have to resort to clipping, with the complicated shape that it is.

If you want more details, pm me, but I would prefer only a few people knew about it.

I was thinking, if I just put a large block over the model, couldnt I just carve a carrier shaped hole out of the block?

I'd ask why you'd want/need to have a brush version of a prop, but since it's a "secret project" I shan't pry. But I think using the prop as a template and building brushes over it really is your best bet.

Oh, and you can't carve brushes using models.

And it is frequently wrong.
