Ah, Winter. The season of sheltered warmth, festive spirits and cold, cold, depression.

I really like the fog and the lights on this map. I ran around it a while back and I was glad to find out you were working on it again. Intel room is pretty interesting too. Found the layout a bit convoluted, so I'm glad you're working on that as well.

This map looks more legitimately "cold" than any other winter map I've encountered. That's pretty neat.

Haha yeah.

But really, I didn't expect to release a version today, that's why there is a lot of crappy stuff (like out of bounds areas) But I'm leaving my computer for some times and I just wanted to release a version for some friends for feedbacks. then Impromtu came and shits happenned. i know a lot of stuff are bad and i'm rushing it because I started this map like 6 years ago. Don't want to trash this.

I promised, next map, My beta won't have any details :p

I wanted to release a B2 but for some reasons, red are spawning in blu spawn. :(

Can talkabout the changes anyway.

- Deleted the stupid legacy room of an old bridge path from a8 :

- Added a stairs here :

- Reworking the spawn so the exits now are more user friendly :

Also added some signs, deleted some extra lighted windows that were a bit off topic, moved some pickups, fixed lot of feedbacks from the imp, CLIPPED THE STAIRS, and a last but not least, falling into water don't make you being crushed by a train !!!!

Thanks for the test and feedbacks guys ! A little word about the story of the mas as some people felt strange to see a beta this detailled.

Frosty is like... a very old map.

First layout cames from 2009 and I've made tons of iterations to a layout that wasn't good at first. I decided to gave up after the a8 release and the beginning of my contract for kong_king. It's was still during this time I firstly made map for visual and not for gameplay in priority.

As I'm not thinking like this now, i'm still doing it for this map now i'm reworking on it because if I don't, I won't finish it one day because I know the main layout is too big, complicated and people just don't give a shit about ctf. If I listen to me, I would just finish it visually and keeping it for myself or not finishing it.

BUT I want to try, i wan't to beleiiieiieieeve§§§ because I love CTF (yeah there is people like this haha) this map needs tons of simplification and optimisation but I will make a playable version (good or bad :p)

It's quite challenging to optimise but kind of fun : I'm also polishing the visual and finishing some areas I didn't do yet, like the red spawn :

I remember looking at pictures of Frosty when I first joined TF2Maps. The sense of atmosphere left an impression me.

Glad to see this map resurrected!
