Hey, I'm an old Battlefield 1942 custom mapper looking to make some fun maps. The advent of map packs for games has really killed communities like this, which really strive to add something to the game... and for free.
I used to dabble into some modding, like making P51s with ball turrets, Hanomags with tank guns, or tanks that shot rifle bullets (nothing more awesome than expecting a boom and just shooting a bullet). You know, the usual stuff.
I was also a member (still technically am, but either inactive or just very slow) of the Sins of a Solar Empire and SoaSE: Rebellion team called Seven Deadly Sins. Modeler and some textures, but I'm not the best texturer and couldn't do anything past that point but give it to someone who could keep it going.
Anyway, I intend to get a feel for these tools and see if I can't make something great.
