Comannications is my attempt to shrink the A/D while providing a quick map that is easy to get around. Players can expect multiple routes to assault the enemy, and plenty of cover to hide from barrages. Open areas and closed buildings provide two contrasting play styles, and plenty of ways to traverse the buildings. Scouts and Soldiers and Demos can Jump to the roofs by C to get a different way of attacking Red, and Pyros and Spies can wait in the dark to claim their victims. I hope for Comannications to cater to every person that plays every style of TF2, without any other weapons beating another.

I have no idea!... of what the theme is as of yet, but I'm thinking on Desert as it....

Foundry and farm theme could use some love. Consider using one of them by the time you get to beta.

Also Commannications is a pretty dumb name. Might help you come up with something better later.

Yeah, there's definitely something wrong with the lighting. Check your map for leaks.

EDIT: My suspicions were correct. As you can tell by the robot head, I'm falling in this screenshot. (Also my rocket launcher is pitch black.) There's definitely a leak there.

I made a game with bots.
First of all you need to work to the spawn rooms. Besides the fact that they need working doors to keep out the opposing team, the spawn of the red team is pretty much close to the final control point making it almost impossible to capture by attackers.

I Like Point A! Creates something for the other control points because are very flat and without cover and remember to setting the control point B can be capture togheter with Cap A if you want to create a map style Gravel Pit.

this map needs many things, like Health and Ammo pickups, Flank Routes,etc... I recommend you to read this guide to see the main elements need for a working alpha map : http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=18663 , been very useful for the map i am creating now.

My opinion about the theme : choose the one you like best and you do best, do it when you complete the layout of the map, so you will have a complete idea which ambientation will have!

Thanks for your feedback, guys.

This is what I have done

I've fixed the lighting now.

Made a second building at A to increase flank routes, and changed the wall by the point to be crates instead.

B is still mostly incomplete, but I have added some cover, and drastically changed the size of it.

RED spawn was pushed back from the action.

Increased the size of the small building by A, and put a crate in one of the corners so that Engies can't camp as easily

Also will the download link be updated? Because it still says "cpmap1". If you are updating it, you need to remember to label your map with its current version ("cp_commannications_a3"). Makes things easier for everyone.

EDIT: Oh yeah, updating the screenshots would be a good idea too.

So far,

Lighting is now much better, I no longer need to illuminate pitch black area of the map.
More buildings make it easier for BLU and RED to attack, and increases the effectiveness of certain classes
You can no longer go into spawn areas.
Game Logic is done
Raised the map, so players have space to rocket jump and such!

You can also expect:

Second route to B, so not all players are funneled into one entrance
Doors!
New exit for Red, so they aren't funneled into hell
Building covering B exit from BLU spawn
Health kits and Ammo!
Less Engie friendly spots, so players aren't as easily killed by them.
