Grid buttons gone to change the gridsize!

I have a small problem with my hammer editor. Nothing big but still annoying.
I dont know how i did it, but i did it. For some reason my grid buttons are gone ( the buttons upside to make the grid smaller / larger ). do ou know how i can reset the windows? Restarting the pc didnt help.

(PS: I am also fairly new to TF2 mapping)

The keyboard shortcut is the [ and ] buttons, you can adjust them with that.

As for the missing buttons, you probably closed or disabled a toolbar somewhere. I honestly don't know where to go to turn them back on.

View -> Screen Elements -> Mapview Bar

But as Frozen said, the [ ] keys are generally more useful

Okay, many thanks for the quick replies! I just got used to the buttons, but while i didnt have them i also looked up the hotkey on the valve site and have to say it seems that they are a faster method to resize the grid.

PS: Not even a day registered and already got a quick-fix on my first problem! Great people here.

Uhm, there is no [ or ] key on my keyboard. To type those characters I have to hit altgr and 8 or 9. What is the shortcut on Swedish keyboards?

Does hitting AltGr + 8 or 9 not work for you, henke?

You are likely stuck. Though there is always the chance Hammer is coded weird and the shortcuts would be comma and umlaut (those are the same physical keys).

On the subject, if any of yall have a fancy mouse with extra buttons I highly recommend mapping grid size to some of them for Hammer (and then it doesn't matter how awkward the shortcut is). I personally use the mousewheel left/right tilt.

Silly me, I never actually checked. altgr-8 and altgr-9 works fine.

Keep using those, and you'll soon find buttons for the grid size obsolete :>
