Crowdsource

So, I had an idea the other day to make a map that is partially(completely would be almost impossible) crowdsourced by the community! I really hope you can help out by just voting here below. How it works is I have a Google Form where you can vote on your favorite components of TF2 maps, and the most voted-for things will be included in the map!

Granted, I am not a super experienced mapper, so release date(and quality) could vary.

I am NOT looking for gamemodes like deathrun, trade, and smash brothers in the gamemode section! At least vote for something with an actual objective!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!


The community voted, and decided that the map will be:

A Payload map(28%)

In a Warm Alpine(Sawmill) setting(18%)

With No special qualities(64%)

Including Water and Physiscs Props(40% and 30%, I chose 2 from this category)

And be careful of the Deathpits and Trains!(28% and 21%, I chose 2 from this category)


The things with the LEAST votes were as follows:

Payload Race; 3 votes/4%

Desert-Ancient(Lakeside); 1 vote/less than 1%

Low Gravity; 5 votes/7%

Nothing special; 19 votes/18%

Fire; 18 votes; 10%




So there we have it!


(WOW! 76 people voted! I could not believe that many would care about this!)

I am still working on this! I apologize but I am a very slow mapper and with school on the way it might be another month, give or take a couple weeks. It's also night themed, let me know if you guys hate that or not.

Yep! As of now I need to add the last point(and maybe a second to last) and add more flanks. A big problem it has is it's quite open, with not enough chokepoints.

List of feedback from au imp:
-Displacements too steep
-Make metal crossover easier to push
-lost of dead space
-too much setup
-shouldn't be able to jump over buildings in some places
-soldier too stronk
=Add signs
-add sgins to elevator
-Map is too vertical
-Payload is hovering
-Cones can be used to break the payload, remove them or make prop_static, they were fun though
-pyro too stronk
-Too dark
lower everything by 96 units or something
-lighitng is off
-not packed
-Cart through tree is bad
-no need for end track curve
-Height advantage at end is brutal

We all had a bunch of fun though, be sure to chat with us in the group-chat
