Unusual Wearing Players
Possibly one of the most annoying other things I find, unusual wearing pro players. I. Don't. Want. Them. Here. I see unusuals as reaching 'Top Rank' of a video game or something, these players either got lucky or have dominated the economy of TF2, and now only sit there and rub it in your face.
I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here; what do you have against people wearing unusuals? Why do you say that you see them as being 'top rank', but then call people out on having to be either 'lucky' or having 'dominated the economy' to have them? That's kind of contradicting.
Quick-scoping Snipers.
It's an annoying tactic that should never have been pulled from Call of Duty, it's cheap, effective for some reason, and I fucking hate it. Play the game the way a sniper was meant to be played...
That is the way the sniper is supposed to be played. If someone can line up a shot, charge it, and then pull it off right after they round a corner and hit someone right in the head, how is that not fair? If they have the skill to do something like that, they should be able to. It's not quick-scoping. The Sniper class is entirely balanced upon not quick-scoping.
The Autobalance System
By far TF2's greatest sin. Winning? Nah, too bad, losing now. Person on the other team wants to win? Spectator > Wait 5 seconds > You get Autobalanced > They take your place. Now you're on the losing end with only a few seconds before game ends.
That is a very specific situation that I have literally never seen happen. I mean, theoretically, it could, but it would only affect you if you were at the bottom of the scoreboard anyways, meaning you either just joined or weren't playing very well. In that case, what's the big deal?

I don't think you understood what I was talking about in this thread. I made this thread to just talk about personal annoyances in game, sure they may not be very justified, but it's just nitpicking. -_-"

I entirely understand this thread, which is why I'm nitpicking your nitpicking.

Me and my unusuals disagree.
Sticky-Bomb Demomen
While this is a tactic I use a lot myself, I find it downright frustrating when I have to face off against a demo that will use nothing other than the sticky-bomb launcher, and will only use the normal grenade launcher when they're out.
You are playing demoman ineffective if you aren't using the stickybomb launcehr most of the time.
Constant Spy Checking
Everyone does it, all the time, is it to much to try and enjoy a little bit of the Spy class once an a while without people constantly watching their backs? Dustbowl Stage 3 is nothing but pure hell when trying to play as a spy on this level. Always pyros, or 5 sentries, and never enough time or space to get around everything.
People play the game better than you, cry some more. Also it is not a mystery that the class spy is not always as useful and best played for a short time then switching to a different class when needed.
2-Fort, Dustbowl, and Badwater Servers
It's starting to become less of a cult-classic, and more of an annoyance. Servers are constantly running these 3 maps, but I have so much trouble avoiding these 3 maps at all times, we're a community that makes these custom maps, but only a handful of people will play it. Skial and Lotus do nothing to pay attention to us creating maps for there own communities to play.
Find other servers there is a server browser you know.

This is the only point at which I agree.

***RANT INCOMING***

Honestly, the thing annoys me the most about this game is the huge circlejerk aurrounding mini sentries. It seems to mostly be with scouts, probably because minies can shut down a loarge area where that acout can't go. But seriously, the circlejerk has gotten to the point where entire servers ban mini sentries, which is a terrible idea as it makes engineer almost completely useless on offense apart from teleporters.

This game is TEAM Fortress 2, if you're a scout and you can't access an area, ask a soldier/heavy/demoman on your team to take out the mini sentry and then go in an kill the engineer so he can't set up another. If you want to just join a game and run around and get kills, don't complain about the enemy engineer using min sentries to defend the objective, and especially don't say "minies are OP, it's just a an aimbot". It's stationary, just spam it from long range.

Seriously, whenever I see someone say "wow, the engineer's using minies" or "oh no a mini sentry" I get so ticked off. It's an important part of the game and no one would play engineer without it.

The worst thing about it is that even a level 1 regular sentry would be more powerful dps-wise and yet you never hear people complain about them.

My quirks come from all the pointless randomization. Random crits, bullet spread and damage spread being the worst offenders.

Btw, if you want to play spy in a setting where it's not expected, overused and abused as it is in pubs, you should look into the 6v6 format. Spy is considered a utility class there, and is almost never run full time. This means that when the spy finally gets used, nobody expects you. Getting spotted does however have much more severe consequences than in a pub game, since both teams are usually communicating.

Relevant interview with Ruwin, where he talks about offclassing in 6v6

@Mini-Sentries:
The thing about mini-sentries is that the engi can put one down within three seconds of the last one going down. There's been times where I've been able to shut down an area easily with a mini-sentry because it's up high, covers a lot of space, and it's tiny so it's hard to hit. And then the moment it goes down I run up, place another, and bam all that work it took to kill it is for nothing. I've used it to abuse areas and it's funny for me but you can hear in the mic from the other team going 'having fun there egan?' and shit like that (cause it's annoying, evidently).

I wouldn't say mini-sentries are useful in any area, I wouldn't say they are annoying in every area, but I would say that there are areas / maps where mini-sentries can completely ruin the fun (usually up high, covers a space, can't be taken down by snipers easily, near ammo).

<<---------->>

Caber demomen are kinda annoying for some of the same reasons as the mini-sentries, how quick they are to come back. I blame Layl for most of the caber annoyances.

High ping TF2 is also kinda annoying I guess: see a sniper, run behind cover, nice and safe, get headshotted anyway because on his screen you haven't run for cover yet.

It's a forum, nobody has a problem with you, just what you're saying.

IMO a thread like this is unnecessary here and would only barely work if it wasn't as biased as fox news.

One of the things that bothers me the most about tf2 is that it is so much different than what it used to be. There are so many weapons and hats and new themes that it all just appears incredibly noisy and unneededly complicated.

Tf2 is supposed to be a simple game. When you see a class, you are supposed to know within a second what threat you are going to be dealing with. Now with all these different loadouts, it becomes a little harder to do so. Now, I want to clarify that for the most part this really is NOT an issue. But there are some specific things that really irk me about this game.

1: Demoknighting. I find it fun to sometimes run around and chop heads off, but if it were up to me I would completely remove the shields.
2: Minisentries. Sure, we all hate that they are quick to build and require very little metal, do as much damage as a level 1 sentry and have a small hitbox, but what pisses me off more than anything is that you can stick it in a location that would otherwise be impossible to get a level 1 normal sentry into. It changes how you can handle a situation and often leads to people having to fix an otherwise perfect layout.
3: Pointless upgrades and/or gimmicky weapons. Some weapons have straight upgraded stats or are just so good that the stock weapons seem useless, which is a real shame because they all have a beautiful design.
4: Clashing personalities and styles: Why does the heavy have so many hats to begin with? All he is supposed to care about is his minigun. Oh, and he isn't stupid. He just speaks broken English because it is not his first language. And why does scout wear anything that isn't baseball related? And why does he have several modern-style baseball caps? And since when was soldier ever a conquistador? Why does the spy wear a hat on top of a mask? Why does the sniper have bunny ears? Why is wheatley in TF2? This list goes on and on and on; there are so many inconsistencies among the characters. This is supposed to be a simple game. At one time it had a theme: post-war United States industrialism represented in a playful but serious tone inspired by impressionism and propaganda. Why in the world is there a map in a 1980s industial Chinese city? (Not to condemn anyone-I still love the map)
5: Weapons that cross the specific class line: The short-circuit always bothered me because it removed projectiles from the air, something that you could accomplish just as well as by asking a pyro to airblast them away. The Huo-Long_heater causes burn damage that was most likely designed so that a spy could be easily located after backstabbing the heavy. It certainly was not needed, that is also the job of the pyro. The black box allows a soldier to heal himself simply by dealing damage. He is now being rewarded for something that he is supposed to do anyway. This list goes on and on, but I think you understand the point that I am getting at.

I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I just absolutely adore the individuality of this game and it pains me to see it so butchered by things that don't belong. Unfortunately, the game is influenced by the community and many fail to understand how brilliant the original design of this game was. Each character was thought out so expertly, to perfectly balance one another and bring something new to the battlefield. Instead of a class-based first person shooter, it now exists as a role-playing-game, where the player can turn each class into something that he or she wants, whether its personality or play style, and it makes me sick thinking about how much work went into the original designs that no one cares about anymore.

What grinds my gears are experienced sniper. If they can aim quick and good you are already dead as soon you got sight of them and there is no way to avoid it.
It's so annoying that it won't even bother the sniper if he is under constant minigun fire, if you are jumping and dodging around like crazy or if he is burning. He always gets you
You can disagree of course but the thread asked what annoys me the most, and that is it :>

Oh and mini-sentries.... well I can't say something against them since latly I use them pretty often as well ^^'
