A Special Delivery map inspired by half of Sawmill. I'm still in the planning stages, and hopefully I can finish drawing the layout by the time school ends for me. My idea for a theme is the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, where I lived for a couple years. The environment is a mix of dry scrub and pine trees, similar to pl_frontier I guess. Some images to show the idea I have:

More progress on the map outline. All that's left is the australium pickup zone. Any thoughts or concerns about this layout?

The drawings seem pretty similar in location of the rocket as compared with the spawns and pickup zone (I assume will go at the bottom) to Doomsday. Of course, this is 2D so a lot can be changed to make it unique in 3D.

My idea was to have the pickup zone at the upper left of the map, similar to where Sawmill's waterfall is. The doors to nowhere (currently) will head towards the pickup zone, and that'll connect to the rocket/cap somehow. Maybe I need to borrow a little more layout from Sawmill to stop each zone from being so isolated.

I made some big changes to the layout of the map. I decided to not have the australium pickup be at the back of the map, as that would complicate things. Instead, the map is now built on top of a dam, and the australium is on the lower part. Hopefully that will create some interesting height play, and will also reduce possible long sightlines. The layout is still not 100% complete; I'd guess it's at about 75%. I still need to add some more routes, and add a visual indicator of height. I think a tunnel-ish route from the dam that kinda goes underneath the rocket might be good to add.

Seems like a good idea, looking forward to see how it comes out when you're done hammering. A new SD map is not something that we see often.

Maps pretty cool mate ;)

But I would like if you would see the actual rocket from the spawn. That would be awesome!
