This is my 72 hour map, koth_vacon_72_2 cleaned up a bit. I'm now working on it after some playtests with the ugc guys for 4v4s

yes i know its detailed and in alpha but the layout is changing too much for beta so dont yell at me jeez

a2 is up

no more detail grass
played with health distribution, health is now more centralized around the point and not the room flank
sewer flank raised to ground level, removed water
bridge above sewer extended out
dropdown is now larger
windows on bridge moved
you can now rubble climb over the tanks
other stuff like map is more splash friendly
no spawn changes this time, next version for sure

Congrats Vaconcovat on making Fuel in the UGC 4v4 Summer Season! This map caught my eye in the 72 hour contest. I believe I voted this map 2nd overall in the contest. It seems so long ago when we playtested it back in early February? We playtested it with NA teams and you attended that one which is late morning/early afternoon your time on a weekend. Then you updated it not long after that and it was just sitting with the 4v4 season running, which is almost impossible to get a playtest during the season with it being the first 4v4 season in UGC.

Then last weekend we playtested it in NA and Europe. Everyone in NA loved it, but in Europe there was a few who didn't and still aren't sure on it. Which is why we put it in the preseason for this summer season. There's really nothing special about this map, but it flows just right and the layout is pretty damn good for 4v4s. It flows better than most of the maps in the 4v4 rotation imo. Thanks for being patient and updating the map in the last two days. I'm sure there will be another quick update before we play it in preseason. This map almost didn't get in, but I pushed for it and I feel confident about it. Thanks again Vaconcovat and I can't wait to see how this map improves over time!

woo ugc

uh i updated it to a3

-grass is now happier and uses a not depressing texture
-map is generally lighter
-dropdown now longer over point
-health moved around
-added a high ground spawn door option, spawns still need playing with
-i probably did something else

yeah but i'm going to update it more tomorrow (cleanup) so im not going to upload a3 yet because i said so

a4 i cleaned up
just played with a few visual things and patched up some (but not all) lighting and displacement stuff but i'll probably be doing a bunch of these small updates

seriously why does source like to leave giant blotches of black for absolutely no reason

Fuel was used in ETF2L's recent Experimental Highlander cup.

I tried adding you on steam some time ago so you were aware and could make yourself a feedback thread. You can find the feedback topic from players here: http://etf2l.org/forum/maps/topic-28776/page-1/

Any matches played on our ETF2L servers I can fetch the STV demos for should you request them. :)
