Entry for the first part of the #10 contest.

Just making something other than PL. I got this idea of a mirrored 5CP with arches. So that's what I'm making.

There will be a tunnel under the highground arch (or somewhere around there) for pyros and spies and whatnot.

I don't play 5CP that often, so I don't really know what I'm doing.

Update!

Tweaked with the scaling at B. Redesigned A-B area as it had horrible sightlines (and I also came up with an interesting theme for the map [besides curves]). I'll be working on gameplay stuff now, and making an alpha version.

I admire your patience at making things round, because Hammer is generally pretty hostile towards any attempts to make things other than boxes.

That curved cylinder, which I assume is meant to be a pipe of some kind, would probably work better as a model. I mean, I don't necessarily expect you to do that now, while you're still in alpha, but at the same time you probably didn't need to go to the trouble of making one in Hammer either.

a2 Update!

Not much done, small tweaks here and there. I really didn't see much point in drasticly changing the layout.

Changed C a bit and the flank between A and B

5-6 days to go and I decide to redo mid. After a dozen or so adjustments (mainly done to fix sightlines) I came up with this:

The routes will remain the same for the most part. One fast upper to jump down on the point, one main route, one lower route.

a4 update! a3 is a backup of the mid unchanged but with the problems of a2 fixed

Redid the mid point. Now its smaller, more fun [citation needed] and nicer to look at.
Also, the dam is now fixed!

This will be the final version, as long as no bugs are found.

Note to anyone who wants to detail this: some brushes are convenient cover, such as the sign/billboard between first and second, the sign/billboard between second and mid as well as the mid telescope thingy (or whatever it might be).

I won't personally detail this btw.


This is stupid Idea but might be interested to try, move mid point to the dam :)

Maybe on april fools ;P
