I was playing on your New York server a few minutes ago when male players, whom I believe were regulars, began making rape jokes. I asked them to stop making rape jokes, to which they -- and other players whose names I recognized from hanging around the server -- responded by continuing straight on and complaining that it would be humorless and against the spirit of TF2Maps to stop doing so. I had thought this was a pleasant and interesting community with a fun server, but when the regulars' definition of "fun" obligatorily includes making rape jokes, and refusing to stop even when someone has indicated that they are extremely uncomfortable with such cruel and hurtful interpretations of "humor" -- when not a single person would speak up against it -- that's... I can't even. I can't words anymore, I just. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to post about this, I recommend next time jumping into our Steamchat, linked in the toolbar at the top and messaging one of our staff, the people with the stars next to their name. That way we can help deal with problems there and then.
EDIT: Just checked the text chat and I can't see what you are referring to. I'm guessing it was through voice chat and will be checking the demo file.

I'd just like to add that I also don't really care for people using the word frivolously, but far worse than that is to continue doing/saying something (anything) when asked to stop. Yall doin that stuff should be ashamed.
I was the admin in charge at the time, and although I was hearing people talk about the concept of 'the rape joke', I honestly do not remember hearing any actual rape jokes. :s I also don't recall hearing anyone asking for it to stop apart from Owly's "Noooo"s occasionally. I suppose it could be considered inappropriate though, and I can halt it in the future.
EDIT: Okay, I've been updated that there were indeed people who asked for it to stop. I'm sorry I didn't see that.

So me and few of the other admins have looked over the footage now. Our course of action will be to warn Rexy about his remark and leave it at that. I'm happy to talk more about this with Saludaron if they want more details.
What I do want to say however is if anyone feel they have issues on the server to either talk to one of our admins in steam chat at the time or PM us on the forums.
Public threads about these issues do nothing but create this bandwagoning seen by some users above, unless you had something to actually add to the issue like further details we might not catch in the demo then I think people making opinions through hearsay and backseat moderating is bad behavior/form in and of itself.
