1)
- The Dark Knight trilogy
- 2001 Space Odyssey
- The Rocketeer
- Drive
- The first new Captain America movie
- King of California
- Moon
Yeah, I've seen the batman movies and they're fun to watch but I can't see myself rewatching them for another 9 months at least, and that doesn't really tune to my definition of good. I saw the first 10 minutes of 2001 and I got bored so I stopped. I saw The Rocketeer once when I was 7 and then tried to again at 16 but got bored about 30 minutes in. Drive was good, I thought, and although I liked the main character's silent-ness, I didn't feel satisfied by the end of the movie's results on some characters (trying to not spoil anything). Haven't seen the
Captain America movies so I'll give those a shot, same with
King of California, and
Moon.
For 1 and 2, pretty much any Quentin Tarantino movie.
I've seen most of all his movies and I hear how amazing people say they are, and I get the humour, but I can't stand to watch them over and over, although I did put Reservoir Dogs in the 'recommended' sub-list on my google doc thing, that one was alright the first time through.
I just watched this last night, and I thought it was okay. It's a movie I could have very much enjoyed while watching as a kid (and so probably will get the DVD for my kid if I ever have a kid). But like the Swiss Family Robinson (which I did watch as a 7 year old) I don't have the patience to watch these kinds of movies anymore it seems.
Haven't seen it yet, it's now on the list of to-watch.
dr.strangelove, some older james bond movies, starwars and maybe austin powers
I've seen all but Dr.Strangelove, which from google images looks kinda cool, so I'll give that a shot.
- Source Code
- The Machinist
- Franklyn
I've seen Source Code and it was a bit hollywood-y, just like a friend from school recommended 'Unstoppable' which was horribly hollywood-y to the point where it was boring. But I guess it was an alright movie. Kinda reminds me of Deja Vu which I should add to the list actually. I've seen The Machinist, and it was weird, weird in the creepy sort of "I can take life hints on what not to do, but I don't want to watch this again". Haven't seen Franklyn yet, I'll check it out.
